Choose your role
Select Listener to stream and collect music, or Artist to upload and sell. If you're both, pick Artist — your listener features are included automatically.

Confirm your email
Check your inbox for a verification link. One click and you're in. Your dashboard is ready immediately with sample data to explore.

Complete your profile
Add a photo, bio, and social links. For artists, a complete profile gets your music featured in discovery. For listeners, setting your taste profile powers your personalised Daily Mixes.
Sign in with Google is the fastest option — no password to remember, and your account is secured by Google's 2-factor auth automatically.

Using the Music Player
The Ooki player is always visible at the bottom of the screen. You never lose your place. It has full keyboard control too.
Play any track
Click the play button on any track card, or press Space to play/pause from anywhere on the page.
Skip & navigate
Use the arrows in the player bar, or press Alt+→ to skip forward, Alt+← to go back.
Shuffle & repeat
Toggle shuffle with the button. Cycle repeat through Off → Repeat All → Repeat One by clicking the repeat icon.
Volume control
Drag the volume slider in the player bar. Click the speaker icon to instantly mute/unmute.
The player stays active while you browse other pages. Your queue continues playing even when you navigate between sections of the site.

Like tracks to build your Liked Songs
Click the heart on any track. All liked tracks appear automatically in your Liked Songs playlist in your Dashboard.

Create a playlist
Go to Listener Dashboard → Library → New Playlist. Name it, set it public or private, add a cover image, and drag tracks in. You can have unlimited playlists.

Store, pick an album or single, and purchase. Bought music lives in your
Purchased section — yours permanently, downloadable anytime.

On any artist page, click Follow. You'll get notified about new releases, Sonic Capsule drops, and exclusive fan content in your feed.

Add metadata
Fill in track title, album name, genre, BPM, musical key, and release date. Good metadata gets your track surfaced in genre filters and recommendations.

Upload cover art
Minimum 500×500px, JPEG or PNG, under 10 MB. Your cover shows in the global chart, store, and search results. Square format required.

Set price (or free)
Choose streaming-only (free) or set a purchase price. Singles from $0.99, EPs from $3.99, albums from $7.99. You keep 85% of every sale. Enable the Downloadable toggle if buyers can save the file.

Publish
Click Publish Now to go live immediately, or Schedule to pick a future release date. Your track appears in the New Releases feed, genre charts, and listeners' Daily Mixes within 60 seconds.
Best practice: Upload lossless FLAC or WAV source files. Ooki transcodes to multiple quality tiers automatically — your original file is preserved for purchased downloads.
Artists
Revenue & Payouts
Ooki pays artists the industry's highest revenue share. You earn on both streaming plays and direct sales.
Direct Sales — 85% to you
Every time a listener buys your track or album in the Store, you receive 85% of the sale price. Ooki takes 15% to cover hosting, payment processing, and platform costs.
Streaming Royalties
Ooki pays per-stream royalties from the Pro subscription pool. Rates are calculated monthly based on your share of total streams on the platform, and are always above industry standard.
Payouts via Stripe Connect
Earnings are deposited directly to your bank account via Stripe Connect. Connect your account in Dashboard → Settings → Payouts. Minimum payout threshold: $10. Paid monthly.

Sonic Capsules — Immersive Audio Experiences
Sonic Capsules are the signature Ooki feature. Artists create them, listeners discover and collect them. Each capsule hides a secret layer that gets revealed with a tap.
For Listeners — How to Experience a Capsule
Browse capsules at
Sonic Capsules. Filter by genre or mood. Press play on any capsule card. When you're ready,
tap the card to reveal the hidden layer — production notes, lyrics, unreleased art, or a personal message from the artist.
For Artists — Create a Sonic Capsule
From your Artist Dashboard, click New Capsule. Upload your audio, choose capsule type (Single, EP, or Full Album), write your reveal content — the story behind the track — and set it to Standard or Limited Edition (max 500 collectors).

Limited Edition Capsules are capped at 500 collectors. Once you unlock one, it's stamped to your profile permanently as a digital collectible with a numbered serial. They can't be re-unlocked once the limit is reached.

Futuristic Search — 3 Ways to Find Music
Ooki's search works from any page, any time. Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open the search overlay instantly.
Text Search
Type any artist name, track title, album, genre, or mood. Results appear instantly as you type — artists, tracks, and albums all shown together. Press Enter to go to the full search results page.
Voice Search
Click the microphone icon or switch to Voice tab. Say an artist name, track, or genre out loud — Ooki transcribes your speech in real-time and runs the search automatically. Works on Chrome and Edge.
Image Search
Drag and drop an album cover or artist photo into the search overlay. Ooki analyses the image and finds matching artists and tracks. Perfect for when you have the artwork but not the name.
The search button also appears in every navbar. On mobile, there's a floating search button at the bottom-right of every page. Search works completely offline with cached data — no network required for basic queries.

Visit the
Store. Filter by All Releases, Albums, EPs, or Singles. Use the search bar to find a specific artist or title.

Purchase
Click Buy Now on any album or single. Pay securely via Stripe — credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. You'll receive a receipt by email.

Download your files
After purchase, go to Dashboard → Library → Purchased. Click Download to get the full-quality audio file. Available in MP3 (320kbps) and FLAC (lossless).

Dark Mode & Light Mode
Ooki defaults to dark mode — the way it was designed. If you prefer a lighter interface, toggle it with one click. Your preference saves automatically.
Click the sun/moon icon in any navbar
The theme toggle button (/) is in the top-right of every page. Click it to switch between dark and light mode. Your choice is saved in your browser and persists across all pages and sessions.
Dark mode is recommended for the best visual experience — Ooki's design system was built for dark-first. Light mode is fully supported and all contrast ratios meet WCAG AA standards.
