01 — Getting Started

Create Your Artist Account

Setting up your Ooki artist account takes less than 5 minutes. You'll get a personal dashboard, a public profile page, and immediate access to upload tools.

1
Sign up at ooki.music/signup
Click "I'm an Artist" on the signup page. Enter your email, create a password, and verify your email address.
2
Complete your artist profile
Add your artist name, genre, bio, avatar, and cover art. A complete profile gets 3× more follows on discovery.
3
Set up payouts
Connect your Stripe account or PayPal to receive royalty payments. This is required before you can publish music for sale.
4
Apply for verification (optional)
Artists with 1,000+ followers can apply for the verified blue check. It increases trust and visibility in search results.

Pro tip: Use a high-contrast avatar (500×500 minimum) and a widescreen cover image (1400×400). These are the first things listeners see on your public profile.

02 — Uploading

Upload Your Music

Ooki supports lossless audio upload. All tracks are transcoded for streaming automatically — you always own the master.

1
Go to Dashboard → Upload Music
From your artist dashboard, click the "Upload Music" link in the sidebar. Drag & drop or browse to select your files.

03 — Sonic Capsules

Create Sonic Capsules

Sonic Capsules are immersive, story-driven music experiences — a mix between an album, a visual short film, and interactive liner notes. They live on your profile and get featured in the Universe section.

1
Go to Dashboard → Sonic Capsules
Click "New Capsule". Give it a title, theme color, and world description. Think of a capsule as an album with a soul.
2
Add tracks & artwork
Link existing tracks or upload new ones specifically for the capsule. Upload full-bleed capsule art (800×600 recommended).
3
Write capsule lore
Each capsule can have world-building text, hidden reveal layers (Tap to Reveal), and a manifesto. This is your narrative space.
4
Publish to the Universe
Capsules appear in the public Universe feed. Featured capsules get promoted on the homepage and in listener recommendations.

Universe tip: Capsules with rich lore text and 3+ tracks get 5× more engagement. Tell a story — listeners are here for the world, not just the song.

04 — Artist Covers

Artist Cover Gallery

Artist Covers is your visual portfolio. Upload hi-res artwork, promotional stills, tour photos, and merch previews. Your gallery is shown on your public profile.

1
Go to Dashboard → Covers
Click "Upload Cover Art". Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, WebP. Minimum size 1000×1000px. Recommended: 2000×2000px at 72 DPI.
2
Tag each piece
Mark artwork as Album Cover, Promotional, Tour, or Merchandise. Tagged artwork gets sorted for listeners browsing your gallery.
3
Link to releases
You can link cover art directly to a track, album, or capsule so listeners can click through from the image to the music.
05 — Selling Music

Build Your Public Page

Your public artist page is your home on Ooki. It's what listeners, labels, and media see when they search for you. Keep it current.
